Because some of you are using a lot of stuff you learn from other people that will not work in today’s world. Now I’ll have fun with people that are my age or older. Once you hit the key … What key? Well you put the key in the ignition. Grandpa, what the hell are you talkin’ about?

Because 12 years from now, when Ryder, my grandson, walks up to the car, it’s already going to know he’s there. He’s not even going to have to unlock the door. It’s an electric car. Because it’s an electric car, you step on the gas and it goes.

If you have been around a Tesla or have driven a Tesla, it really messes with your head: because you can’t hear anything, you step on the gas, and it moves. You don’t have to put it in drive or low or 2nd or 3rd or 4th. You don’t have to shift; you don’t have to do nothing! Step on the gas, it goes. What do you think happens when you let off the gas? It slows down. That one’s the same.

When I learned to drive, I’d start it and it would almost fire up. It would wind up very slowly and as soon as it ran, you had to just keep pumping the gas. Because, you had to put more gas in with the accelerator pump to keep the car going until it got warm. I don’t think you got to do that with an electric car.

So the reason you put that manual transmission in neutral is because you actually had to get the gearbox to move a while to warm up the gear fluid in the transmission or you couldn’t even shift it. So the point that I want to make is I learned to drive on a tractor. And the way we started the tractor was with a crank handle. You turn the crank until it went against you, then you hit the Magneto, turned the crank handle again, and then it took off. It doesn’t need a battery. It runs on Magneto, and it had a gearbox with a clutch.

What happens if you don’t learn all this stuff? For my grandson, nothing. But if you try to drag all that stuff for when I learned how to drive back when I was 13-14 years old, which 45 years ago, there’s a lot of things that have changed. What a lot of people try to do in this day and age, in marketing, is try to take stuff that they learned and bring it into the present. And it doesn’t work anymore. There’s no need to do any of that.

So wouldn’t you think in today’s day and age that you first got to “learn to unlearn” by very simply saying do I need to do this? Do I need to do this? Do I need this? Do I need that? If a lot of you could just narrow it down to just the stuff that you need to do and master, then you can focus on just a couple things that you need to do. You get great at it and you’re going to get great result.

Here’s the other thing. You’re going to get “Duplication”.
