I run into people who are too comfortable. They really don’t want to do anything. They really don’t want to change anything. And so it’s very difficult for them to switch gears and understand the philosophy … and to do the things that are needed.

I want you to understand one key thing that was really, really important. All the successful people I met, they end up getting what Les Brown would call “HUNGRY”. A lot of people I’ve run into were really in a desperate situation and they needed to make money right now! They needed to figure out exactly what they needed to do. So here are a few things you need to do to be successful.

First of all, I was extremely coachable. I was so desperate for income. Some of you may not know my story. I was going to get evicted from my apartment. I was an Auto Mechanic on Workman’s Compensation. I got a loan on my car, so the Repo was trying to find my vehicle. I was so desperate I only wanted to do what I needed to generate money. I wasn’t interested in doing all these other things, like learning how to Master the Mundane.

I basically said to my mentor “Just tell me what to do”. Now I never really got advanced training for like 6 months. Yes, there were trainings here and there and at other places from where I lived, but no advanced type of training. But I wanted to know exactly what I needed to know to get people in front of my mentor.

So the first thing he shared with me was to pique interest. It’s so important. “Pique interest” simply means you want to get somebody into the mindset to want to know more about what you have to offer.

Next is being able to edify or tell a story. You want to edify a “person”, not a meeting or an event. So, for example, I would say … “I’m working with this gentleman who’s helping to expand a company in this area. I’ve seen his checks and he’s making over $62 grand a month. I’ve seen it. And he’s looking for people just like you and I to help him expand this billion dollar company. Would you like to meet him? Would you like to talk to him? Would you like to get information from him? I’m working directly with him … “

Then your next goal is to share a very short story about the individual you are edifying and do that honestly. Find out about the person you are sharing that story with and ask them questions, so you can properly edify them to the individual YOU are edifying ― questions like what they do, where they’re from, THEIR NAME (very important to get this right), what they like, are they married, do they have children, etc. Once you’ve found out a bit about the person, you can then properly introduce them to the the person YOU are edifying and the presentation.

Ladies and gentlemen, that’s all I did for 18 months and that’s how you make $1 million.

1. Pique their interest.
2. Genuinely find out more about the person you are sharing with.
3. Then give them a story of the person you want to put in front of them.

Then they should understand how this duplicates. So in their mind, they’re going … “Wait a Minute. All this guy did was ask me a question, he told me a story, and then he put me in front of a video. Oh my gosh!! This makes sense. It’s simple. I can do it!!”

I know you can do it, because that’s what I did!!
