When you market your product, services or Company on Facebook what would greatly benefit your success, is to build an audience and relationships.
Build the relationships first.
How does one go about doing that?
You find things and individuals that you resonate with.
You like their posts and comments and make positive comments on them as well.
You do exactly what you want people to do with your posts and comments.
If you decide not to do this step, when you try to contact individuals on Facebook, you’ll probably be ignored.
There are some individuals that get irritated if you don’t take the time to find out who they are and where they’re from, what some of their interests are.
You need to build relationships with them so that they can know, like and trust you before you decide to pitch your product, service or Company.
If you don’t change the way you market online and build relationships first, you might have some struggles to overcome.
In the old marketing world the first thing that we were told to do is to “pique interest”.
In today’s internet marketing, that is no longer the first thing to do.
In today’s internet marketing, like on Facebook, the thing that should happen first off is to like someone’s post or comment. Make a positive comment building towards that relationship.
When that is done, the person whose post that you liked and made that positive comment on thinks to themselves, this person went out of their way to like my post and also make a nice, positive comment. This is someone that I could have a friendship with.
Right now with Facebook, since it’s close to the end of the year they are doing Year in Review. It goes through a few pictures that you’ve posted and people made comments on, and it also shows little blue balls that are in reference to how many posts that you liked on others posts and comments.
If you see my wife Teri’s Year in Review video, she has 55,593 likes that she made on other's posts and comments, to which she made positive comments.
She loves dogs and has many friends and groups that are associated with Golden Retrievers. She’s always liking with the hearts and making friendly comments.
Just a quick rundown on what we all should be doing with internet marketing.
Build relationships and friendships by liking and making positive comments before we pitch our product, service or company!
